Job Summary
- Provides cardiovascular, endovascular, and neurovascular imaging and interventional procedure support.
- Performs patient care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill.
- Assists with diagnostic and interventional procedures and manages procedure-related complications.
- Uses radiation safety practices, quality control checks, and safe equipment handling.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Kentucky
- Cath Lab Technologist (1 year of experience)
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- ARRT (R)
- Associate's degree in Radiology
Skills and Competencies
- Annual competency validation and unit-specific education
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Arterial/venous sheath removals and/or closure devices
- Assisting with permanent pacemaker/ICD implantation
- Aseptic technique
- Interventional procedures including thrombectomy, stenting, angioplasty, IVUS, OCT, FFR, and structural heart procedures
- Management of complications including air emboli, stroke, anaphylaxis reactions, and cardiac tamponade
- ALARA principles
- Quality control checks
- Radiation safety for patients, coworkers, and self
Preferred Experience
- About 2 years of experience in a busier cath lab
