Description
VIBRA TRAVELS is seeking a Travel Certified Surgical First Assist to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. We’re looking for dependable, detail-focused travelers with experience providing first assist support during surgical procedures in an operating room setting. If you're ready to work closely with surgeons and surgical teams while traveling the country, this is your opportunity!
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current, valid, and active certification to practice as a Certified Surgical First Assist required
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Surgical First Assist in an operating room setting required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical First Assist or Surgical Technology program required
- Certification through an approved credentialing body (NBSTSA, NCCSA, or equivalent) required
- Current, valid, and active driver’s license required
- Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
Certificates, Licensures, Registrations:
- Current, valid, and active Certified Surgical First Assist credential required
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and required by some clients
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience providing intraoperative first assist support including tissue handling, exposure, and hemostasis
- Ability to assist with suturing, wound closure, and instrument handling as permitted by scope of practice
- Knowledge of surgical anatomy, procedures, and sterile technique
- Familiarity with operating room protocols and patient safety standards
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR teams
- Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
