Shift: 12-hour Nights, Every Other Week (EOW), First to Float
Start Date: October 28, 2025
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Stipend: $1,652.00
Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,847.40

Job Description:
A reputable hospital near Sacramento is seeking experienced Labor and Delivery nurses for a travel contract. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in L&D, demonstrating proficiency in managing labor, delivery, postpartum care, and neonatal resuscitation. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to mothers and their newborns, ensuring safety and comfort throughout labor and delivery processes.

This position involves working 12-hour night shifts, every other week, with the added flexibility of floating to other units as needed. Your role is vital in supporting a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, ensuring excellent patient outcomes.

Candidates must hold Active certifications and licenses in BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN patient care standards, and a California RN License.

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery nursing within a hospital setting.
  • Strong ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and efficiently.
  • Excellent clinical skills, including fetal monitoring, labor management, and neonatal resuscitation.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with physicians, patients, and families.
  • Flexibility to float to other units and work night shifts.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Experience with high-risk pregnancies or complex cases is preferred.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is advantageous but not required.

Certifications and Licenses (Required):

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
  • AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) Certification
  • Valid California RN License
