Description
Job Title: RN - CCU
Facility: Berkshire Medical Center
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 hours/week, includes float to PCU as needed
Start Date: 12/1/2025
Assignment Length: Approximately 13 weeks, ending February 2, 2026
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week, scheduled nights with potential to float as required

Weekly Stipend: $454.92
Weekly Taxable Pay: $668.03
Certifications & Licenses (Required):
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) is mandatory and must be included upfront with all submissions. This license is required by the state of MA for staffing purposes. Detailed information can be found at: Mass.gov - Temporary Nursing Service Agency Nursing Pool.
- Registered Nurse (RN) License issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional clinical care for patients in the CCU, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed.
- Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform complex nursing procedures following hospital protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies and provide critical care support.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, including dress code and safety regulations.
What You Bring:
- Valid Massachusetts RN license and current Temporary Nursing Service Agency License.
- Proven experience in critical care, especially in cardiac or intensive care settings.
- Ability to adapt quickly to fluctuations in patient needs and unit demands.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years recent experience in Critical Care units, with demonstrated proficiency in managing complex cardiac patients.
- Previous float experience and ability to handle multi-patient responsibilities preferred.
Additional Notes:
- Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable.
- Holiday and overtime pay are calculated at 1.25x the regular rate.
- For holiday coverage, travelers are required to work two of the following: Thanksgiving, the weekend after Christmas, New Year’s Eve, or New Year’s Day.
- Requests for time off must be submitted and approved prior to upload—no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted.
