Job Description:

Join the dedicated team at Gulf Coast Medical Center as an OR Nurse, providing high-quality perioperative care across a variety of specialties. This role involves working primarily on scheduled days, with additional call shifts and weekend coverage to ensure continuous patient care. As a key member of the surgical team, you will assist in orthopedic, oncology, bariatric, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgeries, utilizing your expertise in robotic and neuro procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons with robotic, neuro, ortho, trauma, and other specialized procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to OR protocols and safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including anesthesia, nursing, and surgical techs.
• Float to other units or campuses as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Ensure all documentation and compliance requirements are completed accurately and timely.

What You Bring:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Proven expertise in robotic, neuro, ortho, trauma, and vascular surgeries.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Epic EMR.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to float and adapt to different clinical settings.

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Degree Verification: Degree accreditation must be confirmed in your profile OR you must possess at least 5 years of hands-on OR nursing experience.
• Experience with orthopedic, oncology, bariatrics, vascular, neuro, trauma, and robotic surgeries is highly preferred.
• Previous experience working in a travel nurse capacity is required.

Certifications & Licenses:
Please note: All certifications and licenses must be active at the time of submission.

• RN License:** Valid Florida or Compact license (must be active and current).
• BLS Certification:** Required for all candidates.
• ACLS and PALS:** Preferred but not mandatory; candidates with these certifications are highly desirable.
