Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,707.60
Weekly Stipend: $1,540.00

Position Overview
Join a dynamic interventional radiology team at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center as an IR Tech. This role involves supporting high-acuity cases within a fast-paced environment, primarily in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, with occasional shifts in hybrid procedures. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to life-saving interventions and expand your expertise in a leading healthcare facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnostic and interventional procedures including RHC, LHC, STEMI/NSTEMI, CTO, valvuloplasty, Cardiomems, biopsies, atherectomies, staged PCI, IABP, Impella, and ECMO (preferred)
- Support peripheral diagnostic and interventional cases, including fistulograms
- Participate in hybrid procedures such as TAVRs, Watchman devices, AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, and clip placements (experience preferred but not required)
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment like GE C-arms, Volcano, St. Jude devices, Alphavac, Angiovac, EKOS, Anari, GE Pruka (Maclab), Fuji and ProSolv PACS, Maquet IABP
- Provide scrub and panning support during procedures
- Monitor patient vitals and manage hemodynamics under supervision
Qualifications and Requirements
Certifications & Licenses:
- RN: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS (preferred)
- RTR: BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin License; RCIS (preferred)
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization labs
- Proficiency with diagnostic and interventional procedures listed above
- Ability to manage conscious sedation and titrate IV drips (RN)
- Skilled in scrubbing, panning, and case support (RTR)
- Hybrid case experience is a plus
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing or Radiologic Technology preferred
- Prior experience with ECMO and TAVR procedures highly desirable
- Experience in high-volume, high-acuity cardiac labs
Additional Information
- Shifts: 5 days per week, 8-10 hours per shift; schedule includes day and PM rotations
- Occasional weekend shifts and on-call duties with 30-minute response time
- On-call from Friday to Friday every 2-3 months, with flexible days off
- Orientation: One week of onboarding
- Staffing support includes housekeeping, storeroom management, transport, reception/HUC, charge nurse/lead tech, RTs, hospitalists, and cardiology team members available 24/7
- Equipment: EPIC charting system, Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication stations, GE imaging equipment, and other advanced devices
- Parking: Free onsite parking
- Scrub Color: Provided
- All staff must adhere to fatigue policy (max 60 hours/week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts)
