Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Post-Op, Oncology, and Telemetry unit with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6

• Care for general medical-surgical and post-operative patients including laparoscopic procedures, as well as oncology patients presenting with complications such as neutropenic precautions, pneumonia, and infections

• Manage and monitor patients with chest tubes, including experience with PleurX chest tubes for patients being discharged with them

• Titrate Heparin drips as required; no cardiac drips are utilized on this unit

• Read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors, with support from a hospital-wide central monitor technician

• Adhere to weekend rotation requirements (every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday) and participate in the holiday rotation schedule alongside permanent staff

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Experience in medical-surgical and/or telemetry nursing

• Ability to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips independently

• Compliance with facility dress code: Royal Blue scrubs required

• No artificial/false nails permitted per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification is a strong plus

• Experience with PleurX chest tube management

• Prior oncology nursing experience, particularly with neutropenic precaution patients

• Comfort caring for occasional psychiatric patients, including 1:1 sitter situations
