Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVICU/Step Down Unit

Location: Urbana, Illinois

Job Description

• Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the CVICU/Step unit.
• Implement procedures and theories related to CVICU nursing care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
• Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate plans of care based on patient and family needs.
• Implement and modify plans of care through continuous evaluation.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback.
• Support professional development of peers and engage in ongoing learning.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
• Provide direct care to CVICU patients including post-operative CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct hourly rounding on patients.
• Proactively assist internal and external customers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years relevant nursing experience.
• ASN degree required; BSN preferred.
• Illinois State RN License in good standing.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification.
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
