Job Overview

Seeking a Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience to provide competent nursing care in a perioperative and surgical setting. The role involves comprehensive patient assessment, direct patient care, documentation, patient education, and collaboration with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care, including emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Uphold professional practice standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including patient identification protocols and safe transfer techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, anesthesia types, and equipment.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support Pre Admission Testing (PAT) by evaluating orders for appropriateness and completeness.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) License - Required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience - Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification - Required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification - Required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing - Preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must meet Occupational Safety/OMS physical requirements.
