Job Summary
- Perform analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist healthcare providers in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment.
- Conduct testing in specialized laboratories using manual techniques or automated sophisticated instrumentation.
- Responsibilities include instrument operation and maintenance, troubleshooting assays, evaluating test accuracy, assisting with result interpretation, and operational support to optimize testing.
- Work with multiple computer systems to retrieve information and report results.
- May work with minimal supervision and assist with specimen collection.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols when handling infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards is required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong multitasking skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others.
- Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments including off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend assignments.

- Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems.

- Required: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science.
