Job Opportunity: Echo Tech (Echocardiography Technician)

Job Summary

Perform a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels.
• Prepare exam rooms and obtain informed consent; gather accurate clinical history as needed.
• Review patient history and select appropriate exam protocols.
• Explain examination methods and position patients accordingly.
• Assess patient status and perform diagnostic tests and necessary interventions.
• Review and evaluate completed tests for quality and completeness; ensure quality images.
• Coordinate preparation of images and documentation for physicians.
• Document and communicate patient information accurately; relay physician or caregiver instructions to patients.
• Ensure effective communication and safe handoffs between shifts.
• Monitor equipment reliability and safety; report issues and maintain supplies and cleanliness.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Participate in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow.
• Promote organizational mission, vision, and values; adhere to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance on-site during scheduled shifts is required.

Contract Length

Approximately 14 weeks (97 days rounded to nearest week).
