Job Summary

Provide safe, therapeutic, and individualized nursing care to patients and families in a Neuro ICU setting. Collaborate with healthcare team members to manage complex and high-risk clinical situations, advocate for patients and families, and promote quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and document patient and family needs.
• Develop, implement, and adapt individualized, age- and culturally-appropriate nursing care plans using the nursing process.
• Evaluate patient and family progress toward goals and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Identify and address patient and family educational needs using adult-learning principles.
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding rights.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Delegate and assign care tasks within scope and competency of healthcare team members.
• Participate in patient care conferences and document care per department guidelines.
• Recognize and address barriers to communication and seek interdisciplinary support as needed.
