MRI technologists run the magnetic resonance imaging scanner to create a diagnostic image for the physician. They maintain imaging equipment and ensure that their patients are protected and in an optimal position for imaging. They must work closely with the physician by taking medical histories, keeping records and adjusting the scanner as directed.

Requirements: Associate’s Degree in Applied Science; Two (2) years of experience as a Technologist in Imaging Services preferred; Must meet one of the following: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography. Must become registered in MRI within two (2) years of date of hire in the MRI department. If a technologist fails to become registered in MRI within 2 years of their MRI hire date, he/she will be terminated from the MRI Tech position. Transfer to an alternate role in another modality such as General X-ray or CT may be offered depending on the candidate’s ability to meet minimum job requirements, availability of open positions, and requires the approval of the area’s supervisor, manager, and/or department director; Completion of an accredited MRI program and ARRT registered in MRI. null Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography.
