Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians will assist in the preparation and distribution of medications and maintain drug inventory. The role requires adherence to Federal, State, and local laws and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy and institutional practice. Work involves rotating between satellites, tours, and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Rotate assignments and tours to meet departmental needs under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
• Receive, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various hospital areas.
• Operate equipment properly and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems as needed.

Contract Length

• 14 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician (higher value confirmed).
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
• Primary Source Verification of License and Registration from NYSED.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in pharmacy dispensing.
• Experience in sterile processing.
• IV room experience.
