Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department (Travel)

Location: Morristown, New Jersey

Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities, including adherence to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism and courtesy.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Individualize patient care based on conditions, procedures, and anesthesia types.
• Prioritize and direct patient care based on patient needs and condition changes.
• Provide patient education and complete charting, including pre-operative and postoperative assessments.
• Support timely completion of patient testing and evaluate Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Requirements

• Specialty: Emergency Department Nursing
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (Required)
  • BLS (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • PALS (Required only for Pediatric ER)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards
