Job Opportunity: Surgical Assistant (Travel)
Location: Rochester, Minnesota

Job Overview
The Surgical Assistant (SA) supports surgeons during various surgical procedures by assisting with suturing, surgical instruments, and patient positioning. The role requires a strong understanding of human surgical anatomy, aseptic techniques, and perioperative policies. The SA will work across multiple surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, neurological, spinal, ENT, gynecological, urology, cardiovascular, thoracic, vascular, trauma, plastic, colon-rectal, and pediatric surgeries.
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Surgical Assistant Program
- Relevant operating room experience within the past 3 years
- Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) through NCCSA or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) through NBSTSA (preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable perioperative situations
- Strong communication skills with patients and team members
- Patient-centered and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Specialty Experience
- Minimum 3 years relevant operating room experience within the past 3 years
Prior Travel Experience
