Physical Therapist Job Opportunity

Location: Greene, New York
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide timely and accurate physical therapy services including evaluations, treatments, and clinical documentation. Maintain service delivery standards focused on customer satisfaction, quality processes, communication, compliance, and environment of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient strengths, limitations, and needs using standardized tests.
• Develop and implement individualized short- and long-term treatment goals.
• Administer and interpret physical therapy services, adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient treatment records in electronic health systems.
• Ensure documentation meets reimbursement and regulatory requirements within two business days.
• Establish effective relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Participate in patient care conferences and collaborate for coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, safety, and self-care techniques.
• Participate in discharge planning and coordinate referrals and durable medical equipment.
• Supervise and direct Physical Therapist Assistants during treatment sessions.
• Maintain licensure and pursue continuing education to stay current with professional standards.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality of care.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Previous experience in an approved medical facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Previous physical therapy experience in a hospital-based setting.
