Job Description

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care in the ICU setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
• Understand conditions, diagnoses, procedures, and equipment relevant to surgical patients in the ICU.
• Individualize patient care based on procedures and anesthesia type.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education to patients and families.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience working with pediatric patients.
• Experience working with geriatric patients.
