Surgical Tech - Travel

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel (Clinical - Allied)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Assist in the care of surgical patients during procedures.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgery.
• Understand the surgical procedure and anticipate the surgeon’s needs.
• Ensure quality patient care throughout the operative procedure.
• Maintain the sterile field vigilantly.
• Follow instructions from Physicians and RNs closely.
• Adhere to established policies related to the Operating Room.
• Practice Standard Precautions at all times.
• Maintain a safe environment in accordance with policies and regulatory agencies.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must tolerate long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 1 year of experience, including recent experience within the last year.
• Possession of a high school diploma or GED certificate.

Specialty Experience

• No explicit years of experience stated; assume entry-level to moderate experience acceptable.
