Description

Respiratory Therapist

Location: Detroit, Michigan
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately)


Job Summary

  • Provide life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and medical gas therapy to patients.
  • Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures in Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
  • Maintain clinical expertise across various departmental assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other healthcare staff regarding patient care.
  • Document all aspects of patient care accurately.
  • Supervise, direct, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientees, externs, and students as assigned.
  • Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Michigan
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Information

  • No prior travel experience required.
