Medical Laboratory Scientist

Location: Lafayette, Colorado
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 13 weeks (88 days rounded to 13 weeks)

Job Summary

• Perform and interpret designated laboratory procedures including serologic, chemical, bacteriologic, immunohematologic (blood bank), and microscopic testing.
• Conduct accurate and timely testing on laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
• Troubleshoot instruments, equipment, reagents, and specimen issues using standard laboratory techniques.
• Perform laboratory quality control, report discrepancies, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Conduct maintenance and calibration of instruments and equipment daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed.
• Verify new products, instruments, and procedures through testing and statistical analysis.
• Collect quality audit data, assist with technical policy/procedure development, and support inspections.
• Maintain workflow by managing work areas, supply stock, and inventory.
• Assist in training and orientation of new associates.
• Uphold organizational mission, vision, values, and service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist license or certification as required by the state of Colorado.
