Description

Clinical Lab Technologist - Travel

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 52 weeks (approximately 1 year)


Job Summary

Performs analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist healthcare providers in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, troubleshooting assays, evaluating test accuracy, assisting with result interpretation, and supporting operational activities to optimize testing. Work may involve manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation. May work with minimal supervision and assist with specimen collection. Strict adherence to safety protocols when handling infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards is required.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a biological science
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Laboratory Technician, including experience within the last year
  • Ability to accommodate scheduling adjustments including off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend work assignments
