Job Summary

This intermediate-level position involves delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to pediatric and/or adult patients. The role supports medical staff in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring a range of simple to complex cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specialized imaging procedures using advanced cardiovascular and radiologic technology equipment.
• Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
• Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure completeness and quality of studies.
• Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
• Perform quality control, cleaning, and maintenance of imaging equipment according to guidelines.
• Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.
• Provide instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members.
• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the specialty required by the hiring department.
• At least 3 years of pediatric echocardiography experience, including experience within the last year.

Education & Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Certification from one or more of the following organizations:

  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
  • CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) with credentials in one or more of the following: Radiography (R), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR), Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CI), Sonography (S), or Vascular Sonography (VS).

Skills & Abilities

• Ability and skill to apply cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology theory, practices, and techniques to perform, post-process, analyze, annotate study data, or document procedures with limited direction.
