Description

Job Opportunity: Nuclear Med Tech

Location: Rancho Mirage, California
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures.
Manage scheduling and pre-procedure patient preparation.
Operate routine nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary imaging equipment.
Maintain accurate record keeping and adhere to radiation safety regulations.
Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceutical materials for patient administration.
Calculate patient study results and radioactive decay data.
Monitor instrument calibration and detect malfunctions.
Document clinical history and patient symptoms.
Maintain knowledge of medications used in nuclear medicine.
Monitor physiological status and care of patients during procedures.
Maintain proficiency in starting IV lines and proper injection techniques.
Manage inventory and records related to radiopharmaceuticals.
Submit nuclear charge tickets for each patient procedure daily.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
