Vascular Access Technician - Travel
Location: Rochester, Minnesota

Job Summary
Obtain quality blood samples using various phlebotomy methods (capillary, venous, assisted line, and arterial collections) from all age groups, adhering strictly to regulatory requirements and collection procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide rapid response to medical emergencies.
- Work in general patient care areas, pediatrics, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, and Operating Rooms, alternating between hospital campuses.
- Ensure accurate patient identification, specimen labeling, handling, transportation, and testing using Point of Care (POC) equipment.
- Utilize various computer programs/systems.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Use strong customer relations and communication skills when interacting with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Function effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to push a cart and walk distances.
- Assist with training students and new employees.

Required Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of a Phlebotomy training program with clinical rotation OR
- Minimum 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
Certifications & Licensure
- National Phlebotomy certification (e.g., NHA, ASCP) must be obtained within 14 months of hire.
