Job Description

Under general supervision, perform advanced professional work in exposing and processing radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations. You will circulate to various diagnostic radiology areas such as surgery, trauma, and pediatrics as assigned. Recognized as an expert in your field or participate in training programs to enhance skills in other specialized radiology areas or modalities.

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate standard and portable radiology equipment to perform radiographic examinations and fluoroscopy studies, including intravenous pyelography, cystography, gastrointestinal series, and body section radiography.
• Assist physicians and perform specialized imaging procedures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and/or film output issues.
• Act as a resource and preceptor for other Radiographers and/or students.
• Participate in training programs to enhance radiology skills and proficiency in Computed Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or Special Procedures.
• Maintain records, inventory, and equipment for your area of responsibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work overnight shifts.
• Comfortable floating to surgery once a week if needed.
• Independently perform portable X-rays in ER and inpatient settings.
• Experienced with C-arms and O-arm equipment.
• Dependable and hardworking.

Required Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques.
• Knowledge of operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
• Ability to prioritize assignments effectively.
• Ability to assess, treat, and care for patients of varying ages.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to explain procedures clearly to patients and/or parents.
• Computer proficiency.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year full-time experience as a certified or registered radiologic technology professional in the specialty required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid license or certification as a Radiographer (Radiologic Technologist) as required by the state of Oklahoma.

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• The role requires flexibility to float to different diagnostic areas including surgery and emergency settings.
• Overnight shift availability is mandatory.
