Job Description

• Perform routine radiographic, fluoroscopic, and portable examinations in diagnostic radiology, nursing units, outpatient areas, and surgery departments.
• Take radiographs as ordered by physicians.
• Be versatile within the diagnostic radiology department.
• Protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Understand front desk operations and computer systems; report equipment problems to management and clinical engineers.
• Schedule exams department-wide and alert supervisors when necessary.
• Use centralized transport programs for patient transportation.
• Access and manage patient exam information in computer systems, including ordering, reprinting, or canceling exams.
• Interact professionally with other departments.
• Call in on-call imaging associates as needed.
• Communicate equipment issues promptly to clinical engineering and management.
• Assist Radiologic Technologist students.
• Perform duties related to equipment quality assurance, regulatory compliance (including ODH and Joint Commission), supply ordering, staff scheduling, and audits.
• Access patient records as required for medical imaging operations.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology school.

Certifications & Licensure

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio.
• ARRT certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
