Job Opportunity: Surgical Reprocessing Technician

Location: West Bloomfield, Michigan

Contract Length: Approximately 12 weeks

Job Summary

Under general supervision, you will:

• Clean, inspect, assemble, package, disinfect, and sterilize all surgical products used to support physicians and surgical teams in various departments including inpatient, outpatient, Operating Room, Emergency Room, Delivery Room, and satellite locations.
• Document and monitor all sterilization processes such as steam, ETOH, Sterrad, and high-level disinfectants, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Supply the needs of various departments by anticipating instrumentation needs for pending cases and assembling procedure-specific case carts.
• Receive, unpack, shelve supplies, and maintain appropriate par levels using sterile supply management principles.
• Coordinate with surgical specialty teams to ensure availability of supplies for each patient.
• Prepare case carts according to surgeon preference cards, including supplies, equipment, instruments, and implants needed for each patient.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician, with recent experience within the last year.
• Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.
