Clinical Lab Technologist

Location: Rochester, Minnesota
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)

Job Summary

Performs analyses on blood, tissue, and body fluids to assist healthcare providers in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory instruments, troubleshooting assays, evaluating test accuracy, assisting with result interpretation, and supporting operational activities to optimize testing. Work involves handling infectious specimens, chemicals, and other hazards while adhering strictly to safety protocols. May work with minimal supervision and assist with specimen collection. Testing may involve manual techniques or automated testing using sophisticated instrumentation.

Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced, changing environment
Strong multi-tasking skills
Good communication skills and ability to work closely with others
Flexibility to accommodate scheduling adjustments including off-shifts, holidays, on-call, and weekend assignments

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems

Requirements / Qualifications

Medical Technologist experience
Medical Lab Technician experience with at least 1 year, including experience within the last year
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biological science
