Job Description

• Provide professional nursing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process and current nursing practices.
• Perform initial patient assessments upon admission and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs.
• Implement and modify nursing interventions and patient care procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate solutions.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 3 years of neurology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
