Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients in the Emergency Department (ED) using the nursing process.
Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care.
Ensure patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards.
Communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, and visitors to promote a healing environment.
Participate in peer feedback and professional development activities.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients.
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.

Additional Information

Responsible for implementing ED-specific nursing procedures and theories.
Modify care plans based on continuous patient evaluation.
Promote safety and professional development within the team.
