Job Summary: Produces high-quality images for physician interpretation, adhering to Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards. Demonstrates competence in various imaging equipment and technology.Job Responsibilities: - Follow safety guidelines for self, support personnel, and patients. - Foster teamwork through effective communication. - Provide excellent patient service through proper communication, technique, and safety. - Maintain flexibility to work at various locations, shifts, and lengths. - Perform additional duties to ensure efficient and optimal patient care.Required Education: - Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.Required Certifications &amp; Licensure: - ARDMS registration in Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment (RVT preferred first). - Both RVT and RDMS certifications within 12 months of employment. - Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 18 months of employment. - RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months for employees providing breast imaging. - BLS certification. - Exemptions apply for roles specific to vascular sonography.Preferred Skills &amp; Experience: - Prior experience as an Ultrasound Sonographer.
