<h2>Job Summary</h2><p>The Cardiovascular Cath Lab Tech assists physicians with various procedures, including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, atherectomy, TEC, rotablator, valvuloplasty, intra-vascular ultrasound, pulmonary angiograms, insertion of intra-aortic balloon pumps, and stents. The role also involves acquiring skills for new procedures and technologies as they develop.</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Prepare sterile trays and organize equipment for procedures.</li><li>Prepare patients, attach EKG leads, perform betadine scrubs, and drape patients.</li><li>Assist cardiac catheterization nurses in patient preparation and monitoring.</li><li>Calibrate and test transducers for accurate pressure readings.</li><li>Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.</li><li>Operate power injectors and maintain digital cine technologies for image storage and retrieval.</li><li>Ensure proper downloading of patient data to the hospital mainframe.</li><li>Assist in emergency situations to restore or maintain patient well-being.</li><li>Support sheath removal and insertion of vascular closure devices post-procedure.</li><li>Monitor inventory and notify appropriate personnel of supply needs.</li><li>Maintain, calibrate, and evaluate diagnostic and technical equipment.</li><li>Lift, push, and pull equipment as required (minimum 40 lbs. lifting, 100 lbs. pushing/pulling).</li><li>Provide patient care tailored to specific needs, including age, culture, and communication requirements.</li><li>Adhere to organizational competencies and standards.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>2 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital.</li><li>6-12 months in a CVT-accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory.</li><li>Familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Bachelor's degree (BS) preferred.</li></ul><br /><strong>QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE</strong><br /><strong>Work Authorization :</strong> US Citizen<br /><strong>Preferred years of experience :</strong> 1 years<br /><strong>Travel required :</strong> No travel required<br /><strong>Shift timings :</strong>
