<h2>Job Summary</h2><ul><li>Perform scrub duties and maintain sterile supplies and technique.</li><li>Assist in nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.</li><li>Assemble, organize, and complete case carts based on doctor’s preference lists.</li><li>Provide appropriate instrumentation, suture, and supplies as requested while maintaining a sterile environment.</li><li>Assist surgeons by passing instruments during procedures.</li><li>Count sponges, needles, blades, and instruments per established policies.</li><li>Handle specimens, implants, dressings, soiled instruments, contaminated materials, and sharps according to policy and standards.</li><li>Ensure timely turnover of rooms, including cleanup, replacement, and restocking of supplies and equipment.</li><li>Care for instruments and equipment.</li><li>Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.</li><li>May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications</h2><ul><li>High school diploma or GED.</li><li>Graduation from a formal, accredited surgical technologist program (or equivalent military training).</li><li>BLS certification from the American Heart Association.</li><li>Two (2) years of Surgical Tech experience, including one (1) year of CVOR scrubbing experience.</li><li>At least one (1) year of cardiovascular experience as a Surgical Tech.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2><ul><li>One (1) year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital.</li></ul><br />QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE<br />Work Authorization : US Citizen<br />Preferred years of experience : 1 years<br />Travel required : No travel required<br />Shift timings :
