<h2>Job Title:</h2><p>PACU RN<br /> </p><h2>Location:</h2><p>Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles<br /> </p><h2>Employment Type:</h2><p>Travel/Contract<br /> </p><h2>Contract Length:</h2><p>13 weeks<br /> </p><h2>Job Summary:</h2><ul><li>Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation).</li><li>Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care.</li><li>Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.</li><li>Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or protocols.</li><li>Identify and address patient and family learning/discharge needs.</li><li>Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.</li><li>Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing.</li></ul><h2>Required Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Two years of current experience in PACU specialty.</li><li>At least one previous 13-week travel assignment.</li><li>Team player, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><h2>Preferred Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>EPIC experience (training available on-site).</li></ul><h2>Required Education:</h2><ul><li>Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).</li></ul><h2>Required Certifications &amp; Licensure:</h2><ul><li>State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.</li><li>BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).</li><li>ACLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).</li><li>PALS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).</li><li>Pass BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias) testing during the first week of assignment.</li></ul><br /><strong>QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE</strong><br /><strong>Work Authorization :</strong> US Citizen<br /><strong>Preferred years of experience :</strong> 2 years<br /><strong>Travel required :</strong> No travel required<br /><strong>Shift timings :</strong> Variable
