Job Summary:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, documentation).
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders or protocols.
• Identify and address patient and family learning/discharge needs.
• Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing.

Required Qualifications:

• Two years of current experience in PACU specialty.
• At least one previous 13-week travel assignment.
• Team player, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• EPIC experience (training available on-site).

Required Education:

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
• PALS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross).
• Pass BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmias) testing during the first week of assignment.
