Job Summary

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state Board of Nursing standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment.
• Consult, delegate, supervise, or teach others as needed for patient care.
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
• Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilize resources effectively to support patient care.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adhere to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including floating to other departments (within scope) and being on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications as appropriate for the unit.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Additional certifications relevant to the unit or service.
