Description

Job Summary

Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks per state Board of Nursing standards.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Collect and assess health data to evaluate patient health status.
Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy and treatment.
Consult, delegate, supervise, or teach others as needed.
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as necessary.
Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans.
Document care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Utilize resources effectively and promote the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health.
Float to other departments as needed (within scope of competency and qualifications).
Be available for on-call duties during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications

Two (2) years of nursing experience.
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited School of Nursing.
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
