Description

Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, designing and implementing individualized care plans.
Perform patient transfers safely, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
Conduct examinations and screenings to determine therapy needs and establish physical therapy diagnoses.
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses in compliance with department policies.
Collaborate with patients, families, and medical teams throughout the rehabilitation process, providing education and training as needed.
Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and rehabilitation technicians per regulatory guidelines.
Utilize standardized outcome measures to ensure accurate reflection of functional performance.
Communicate patient progress, status changes, and discharge recommendations to the medical team.
