- Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, designing and implementing individualized care plans.
- Perform patient transfers safely, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods.
- Conduct examinations and screenings to determine therapy needs and establish physical therapy diagnoses.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses in compliance with department policies.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and medical teams throughout the rehabilitation process, providing education and training as needed.
- Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and rehabilitation technicians per regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize standardized outcome measures to ensure accurate reflection of functional performance.
- Communicate patient progress, status changes, and discharge recommendations to the medical team.
