The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing patient care through the nursing process, utilizing current nursing trends, technology, and resources within the institution's philosophy.

Essential Functions:

• Perform responsibilities and duties specific to the unit's scope of service.
• Implement procedures and theories related to the area of practice.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care for healthcare team integration.
• Complete initial patient assessments upon admission and develop appropriate care plans based on patient and family needs.
• Implement and modify care plans, nursing interventions, and procedures based on continuous evaluation.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards and incidents.
• Communicate effectively to resolve issues and provide constructive feedback for peer development.
• Identify personal learning needs and take initiative to address them.
• Fulfill all departmental competency requirements.
