Description

Job Summary

Under general supervision, responsible for monitoring telemetry setup on patients and ensuring accurate rhythm tracking and reporting.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients once nursing staff attach them to telemetry units.
  • Verify accurate date/time printout on rhythm strips.
  • Provide daily rhythm strip printouts for each patient.
  • Maintain appropriate alarm settings for each patient.
  • Troubleshoot monitor equipment as needed.
  • Alert staff during patient crises.
  • Perform ECGs as required.
  • Maintain supplies for the monitor area.

General Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretations and performing ECG tracings.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff.
