Description

Job Title: MRI Technologist

Job Summary:
Following established protocols and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, MRI Technologists perform imaging procedures for diagnostic interpretation. They assist radiologists during procedures, supervise student MRI technologists, and maintain good customer relations. Responsibilities include ensuring patient care and safety during imaging procedures, efficient use of imaging equipment, instructing and preparing patients, and maintaining accurate records. The role also involves adhering to hospital and safety policies, practicing radiation safety, and supporting departmental goals.

Required Qualifications:

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card.
Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in cross-sectional anatomy or MRI.

Additional Information:

Frequent standing, walking, and lifting/moving patients.
Ability to lift, move, or carry up to 50 lbs.
Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and radiation.
Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours.
May require on-call duties, weekend, or holiday work.
