Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients undergoing endoscopy procedures, including preparation, intra-procedure, and recovery phases for routine GI procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy. The RN provides direct patient care, administers moderate sedation under physician direction, and collaborates with unit staff to care for outpatient populations. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as delegation to unlicensed personnel as appropriate. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, maintains accurate documentation, and supports professional development within the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) or more years of relevant nursing experience.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
- Illinois RN License in good standing.
- BLS (American Heart Association).
- ACLS (American Heart Association).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
