Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, communicates effectively with the healthcare team, and maintains a positive work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Additional Information:

• Performs responsibilities specific to the Med/Surg unit, including bedside shift reports, patient care documentation, medication administration, and patient safety measures
• Delegates tasks to healthcare team members and ensures completion
• Maintains compliance with departmental competencies and documentation standards
