Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients within a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources, adhering to the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, while ensuring safety and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
ASN degree
Illinois state RN License in good standing
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN degree

Additional Information:

Provide direct care to CVMS patients, including post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
Maintain hospital and unit-based competencies
Perform hourly rounding on patients
Proactively assist internal and external customers
Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
