Job Title: RN UP - Neuro M/S

Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring patient and employee safety, and maintaining accurate documentation. The RN collaborates with the healthcare team, provides patient education, and ensures compliance with safety measures and departmental competencies.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN degree
Additional Information:
• Provides competent care for patients with mild to severe brain injuries due to stroke, trauma, or surgery
• Identifies and responds to neurological changes and/or seizure activity
• Maintains a positive attitude to promote a healthy work environment
• Uses critical thinking to evaluate patient conditions and act on changes
• Ensures compliance with safety measures such as fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, and isolation precautions
• Effectively communicates within the healthcare team to promote collaboration and patient safety
