Job Summary:
Produces high-quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments. Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology.

Required Qualifications:

• Organized, efficient, and multifunctional
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication
• Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths, and respond to an on-call pager, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
• Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program
• Registry-eligible candidates must be ARDMS registered in either Vascular Technology (RVT) or RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) within 6 months of employment (RVT preferred first) and both RVT and RDMS within 12 months of employment
• Third certification (Abdominal or OB/GYN) completed within 18 months of employment
• Employees providing breast imaging must obtain RDMS (Breast) certification within 24 months of achieved competency
• Employees hired for vascular sonography roles, who are not eligible for Abdomen and OB/GYN certifications, are exempt from obtaining these registries
• BLS certified

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ultrasound Sonographer experience
