Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the utilization of the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, financial and human resources within the philosophy of the institution.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN

• Delegates patient care tasks to assigned HCTs and validates completion
• Provides patient medications utilizing the 5 Rights: Right Patient, Right Medication, Right Route, Right Dose, and Right Time
• Maintains compliance with safety measures such as fall precautions and pressure ulcer prevention
• Uses critical thinking to evaluate patient conditions and act on changes in status
• Manages time effectively to facilitate quick admissions and discharges
