Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN fosters a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications:

• Six (6) months to three (3) years of Nursing (RN) experience.
• Collaboration and communication skills (verbal & written).
• Judgment and critical thinking abilities.
• Organizational understanding and time management skills.
• Problem-solving and quality assurance capabilities.
• Reliability and safety/risk management expertise.
• A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• Unit-specific requirements as listed in the Compliance Matrix.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.
• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing.
• CCRN certification.
• Relevant skills certification (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by the assigned home unit.
