Description

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below                
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel                
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed 

"Required - Cardiac experience is required. Stepdown/PCU experience. Need candidates familiar with chest tubes, drips + half med/surg half step down. Cardiac rehab and pre/post procedures as well as cardiac stabilizations.  Located in our newer tower. Monitors in rooms. 
Unit is a mixed Cardiovascular floor with 24 beds-12 Step-Down and 12 Med-Surg. Must have Cardiac unit with step down experience. May be asked to interpret EKG, monitor Rhythms and rates, as well collaborate with Cardiac rehab, education, and discharge planning.  "

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Responsibilities include assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, assisting physicians in examinations and minor procedures, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, and interacting with patients and families to share care plans and hospital procedures. Additional duties include making referrals, delegating tasks to support staff, and performing other assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
• One year of experience
• Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Basic computer skills

Required Education:
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a board-approved program

Required Certifications & Licensure:
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
