Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with colleagues to enhance patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience
• ASN degree
• Illinois state RN License in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
• BSN degree
Additional Information:
• Trauma 1 and EPIC experience required
• Provides post-operative care for complex surgical patients
• Monitors and cares for newly tracheostomies
• Manages wounds requiring wound vacs and other complex wound care
• Educates patients and families on new ostomies
• Collaborates with general surgical and OMFS residency services
